About NSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS) of MVR Degree & PG College was established in 1996 with the goal of developing a sense of service and community responsibility among students. The NSS Motto “Not Me But You” reflects the essence of democratic living and selfless service, practiced by staff and student volunteers.

Objectives of NSS

  • Understand the community in which volunteers work
  • Develop social and civic responsibility
  • Solve community problems through active participation
  • Build leadership and group living skills
  • Promote national integration and social harmony
  • Prepare students to handle emergencies and disasters

NSS Units at the College

The college has been sanctioned 2 NSS Units by the Andhra University NSS Cell. Since its inception with 100 volunteers, the NSS at MVR has grown to include over 200 student volunteers actively serving the local community.
